What We’ve Built

As we move into 2021 and continue the momentum from 2020, I want to take a moment to pause and acknowledge your hard work of this past year. It was not easy. Difficulties remain. Yet luxury real estate professionals rose to the challenges and adapted quickly to limitations in a never-seen-before selling environment. New processes were established. Virtual ways of staying connected took hold. What we’ve built — and continue to build — is evolving as we live and learn luxury together. The annual numbers we’re beginning to see posted reflect a rapidly shifting marketplace across the United States, where luxury real estate agents responded to their clients’ requests for homes with more space and greater connections to nature in new locations. The 2021 Report, just released, highlights this incredible phenomenon and more. Luxury prices for single-family homes rose an average of 8% last year in the top 10% of the U.S. Power Markets analyzed in the report.* Another interesting finding: The number of sales of homes over 5,000 square feet jumped nearly 17% from 2019 to 2020, and there was also a nearly 8% drop in average days on market.
