Designer-Restored Kailua Beach House

Lanikai Beach, in the town of Kailua and on the windward coast of Oahu, Hawaii, was first developed in the 1930s as a rustic beach community of small cottages. Since then, the community has blossomed into a luxury enclave of sprawling oceanfront mansions more on par with Kahala Avenue than Mokulua Drive.
Rather than tear down and build a residence of new construction, the interior design firm, TK Design, reinvented an authentic Lanikai 1930s beach house and brought it back to its original glory.  The dreamy cottage-style retreat is a "step back in time," with over 3,500 square feet of living space, four bedrooms and three baths. The home has been completely remastered with all new electrical and plumbing, and designed for contemporary beach lifestyles. A new kitchen, new bathrooms and a new saltwater pool by DeBiasi Pacific provide the home's distinguished design moments while 105 linear feet of ocean frontage framing the Mokulua Islands offers the pinnacle "wow." A legal seawall also adds to the property's inherited value. Between the ocean frontage, views and superb design, this inspiring beach house could be a perfect candidate for historic registry classification. Absolute perfection in paradise.
