Thanksgiving week is almost upon us. For many of us, this time of year is about family and friends, and reflecting on the things for which we are most grateful. This year, the Thanksgiving season takes on heightened meaning, as the events of 2020 have caused so many of us to realign our lives around what matters most to us.
During this season of gratitude, I want to take a moment to express my profound appreciation for the community of agents who are a part of the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury® program and remember our many successes in a year of all years. A Look at Wealth is one such bright spot. Covering the phenomenon of “wealth on the move,” the 2020 report — released in October — has already passed 250 million media impressions! If you haven’t read the report in its entirety yet, I strongly encourage you to dig into it over the holiday. It provides a fascinating look at real-time data and insights on a new demographic we’re calling “Affluent Trailblazers.” We’ve broken out some of the report topics on our blog for easier reading here, here, here and here.
Speaking of the blog, we’ve continued to push out fresh content that reflects what the luxury lifestyle looks like, now and in the future. Two of my favorite stories that should be on your reading list: our exclusive interview with Tamar Geller, dog trainer to the stars, and our coverage of a new Explorer yacht that was made out of recycled plastic bottles. Since the pandemic started, we’ve seen a surge in pet fostering and adoption, so Tamar’s advice is especially relevant to many current and new pet owners. And with so much focus on combating global climate change, the yacht story is such an inspiring read on how one company is creating vessels that have less impact on the environment.
Our blog continues to be a tremendous source for telling stories about our finest listings and a valuable cross-promotional tool for ColdwellBankerLuxury.com. In fact, the Global Luxury site is up 85% in users year-over-year, making it one of the Coldwell Banker® brand’s highest trafficked proprietary sites — an exciting milestone to achieve, when you consider the specialized nature of the luxury sector! Pandemic or not, we are dedicated to placing our most prestigious listings in front of consumers worldwide. The final issue of Homes & Estates is a testament to this enduring goal. Now out to the general public, the magazine will be on newsstands the week of Thanksgiving in nine countries.
For you, our Global Luxury Property Specialists, we have some exciting things in store. We have a stellar lineup of education scheduled for the balance of the year and 2021, to help you sharpen your skillset in the luxury space. As we close out 2020, we will be ending one of our most successful years on record. It was a landmark year, because our clients took their destinies into their own hands and made important yet necessary residential moves for their family at a challenging time, and you made it happen with tremendous determination and resilience!
These accomplishments, during a year of great difficulty, underscore all that we can do — if we do it together as a community of agents who are committed to excellence.
Thank you, and happy Thanksgiving.
