Connection Means Everything

Establishing meaningful connections: it’s one of the most underappreciated aspects of the luxury real estate profession, and yet it can so often determine a successful outcome for clients. Those of us at the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury® program understand the challenges to cultivating stronger, more authentic relationships with agents and our clients today, and we strive to help to keep these connections at the center of the craft. One of the ways we have continued to keep our brand audience engaged is through our flagship magazine, Homes & Estates. The just-released summer issue marks the debut of our new redesign. Launching with a special insertion on May 20 in The Wall Street Journal, the boldly refreshed Homes & Estates uses storytelling to build connection. As I noted last month, “We want to give our audience a taste – through engaging stories on fine art, design, travel, food and homes – of what it’s like to live the Global Luxury lifestyle.” Over the next few weeks, we’re going to be posting the original stories from the magazine on the blog and I hope you follow along here (or request your own print copy). Expect to be moved by stories of once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences, a trip to the Maldives and a $550 million superyacht launching in 2024. For foodies, we explore the country’s most promising new restaurants. If well-being is on your priority list this year, then you’ll love the feature on Miraval Resorts & Spas. Design buffs will also enjoy visually inspiring reads on an expandable floating city, a London-based interior architectural studio, and the world’s first luxury flower brand.

Fairmont Century Plaza | Los Angeles

The magazine is not the only way we’re centering the art of building relationships. On June 5-7, the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury team is heading to sunny Los Angeles for a first-ever gathering of luxury’s greatest minds. We’re calling this premier 3-day event, “Engage,” and it’s amplifying the prestige, power, and pedigree of the Global Luxury program like never before. Hundreds of attendees from more than 25 U.S. states and eight countries are already registered for the exclusive summit held at the Fairmont Century Plaza – and they are ready to “engage” at the highest level, learning, sharing, networking, and elevating their business. (Global Luxury Specialists who are not yet registered can do so here). As our team makes the final preparations for this extremely special event, I want to remind everyone – our clients too – why relationships matter in this business. The luxury real estate world is small and niche. When you work with a Global Luxury Property Specialist, you are not just working with one agent – you are working with an entire community of deeply networked agents all over the world. That’s the power of the Global Luxury platform. Michael Altneu is the vice president of luxury for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. A 15-year veteran of luxury and marketing, Michael has created campaigns for major brands with domestic and international reach and collaborated with top agents across the country on the real estate technology side of the business. The New Jersey native currently resides in Los Angeles, where he balances his time between volunteering as an EMT and spending time outdoors in the sunny Southern California weather.
